2nd WPA World 10-ball championships set in November
THE 2nd WPA World Ten Ball Pool Championships is slated for Nov. 25 to 30 at the World Trade Center, CCP Complex along Roxas Blvd, Manila.
The World Pool Billiard Association (WPA) and Raya Sports also announced that Stage 1 (qualifying round) of the WTBC will be held on Nov. 19 to 20 at the Star Billiards Center in Quezon City.
Ten qualifiers are scheduled in Stage 1.
Meanwhile, 2006 Doha Asian Games 9-ball silver medalist Jeffrey “The Bull” De Luna and 2008 WPA World Ten Ball Championships semifinalist Demosthenes “Plong-Plong” Pulpul made it to the top of the World Pool Billiard Association ranking list.
De Luna garnered a total of 975 points to climb at no. 8.
Pulpul, top player of Cebuano sportsman/ businessman Paul “Magi” Monera Magadan, notched a total of 946 points for no. 9 place.
Appleton no. 1
Darren Appleton of Great Britain, the 2008 WPA World Ten Ball Championships winner, snatched the no. 1 position with 1873 points.
